About the artist:
I didn’t hike as a kid -- I explored. Blessed with creative parents, who valued nature and the outdoors, I grew up boating and camping all over the Western United States. I’ve spent many a day peeking in tide pools and combing lake shores for skipping rocks. I’ve spent my lifetime observing and appreciating colors and the natural patterns in wet pebbles, rocky cliffs, cloud formations, tree shadows and reflections on water.
Some favorite places that greatly influence my style include the tide pools at Grandma’s house on Lopez Island in Washington, Trillium Lake on Mt. Hood here in Oregon, trips to a rustic little cabin on Coeur d’Alene Lake in Idaho and countless creeks, forests and sea shores throughout the Northwest.
I studied under Bonnie Donahue in Eugene, and took some classes at Bullseye Glass Company in Portland.
